Swolverine Therm Fat Burner Review 2024 | Effective Fat Burner or Scam?

0  comments

Therm caught my attention for its claim of being the perfect weight loss supplement. While “perfect” might be a stretch, the big question is how it stacks against more popular alternatives like PhenQ and PhenQ PM. Let’s take a closer look at its proposed benefits and composition to find out.

Swolverine Therm

Overall Rating: 2.5/5

  • Many of Swolverine Therm's ingredients lack conclusive scientific evidence for weight loss, with some causing potential side effects like nausea and vomiting.
  • Notable concerns arise from components like White Willow Bark, which can lead to an upset stomach, and excessive caffeine content causing insomnia.
  • Swolverine Therm's formula is criticized for including too many irrelevant ingredients for fat burning, making it less recommended than alternatives.

What is Swolverine Therm?

Therm by Swolverine is a natural fat burner that offers to help you burn excess fat more quickly. It also promises to increase your day-to-day energy levels and accelerate your metabolism, both of which are fairly standard benefits of fat-burning supplements. Therm also doesn’t claim any over-the-top or unrealistic benefits which is generally a positive sign for me when reviewing a new fat burner.

To back its promises, Therm enlists the help of 20 different ingredients, which is a lot. Many of these ingredients — like White Willow Bark powder, Uva Ursi, and Juniper Berry powder — don’t have any direct weight loss benefits either. Plus, components like White Willow Bark can also lead to unintended side effects like nausea and vomiting, which is not very reassuring.

These uncommon ingredients reduce the effectiveness and safety of Therm, which is why they’re not included in well-known fat burners like PhenQ and Capsiplex Burn.

Let’s see what the rest of the ingredients in Swolverine Therm offer.

Ingredients

The most notable components of this fat-burning supplement include:

Guarana — 300 mg

The primary component of the Guarana fruit is Caffeine, which is one of the most well-known substances for weight loss. Studies show that regular Caffeine intake can boost thermogenesis; the process which converts calories into energy. This increases your energy output which signals your body to compensate by burning more fat — accelerating weight loss.

Caffeine intake can also improve your workout performance by reducing exertion during exercise. This allows you to reach your body shape goals faster by increasing the intensity and duration of your workout sessions.

Garcinia Cambogia leaf — 125 mg

According to a 2018 study, regular Garcinia Cambogia supplementation can improve lipid and blood glucose levels in overweight people. This, in turn, accelerates fat oxidation and can lead to noticeable weight loss after six months of use.

Chitosan — 125 mg

Therm includes Chitosan in its formula as it can lead to weight loss by regulating cholesterol levels and blood pressure. Unfortunately, the scientific research behind this ingredient is very inconclusive.

A 2018 meta-analysis backs Therm’s claims and shows how Chitosan intake can have a positive impact on body weight. But, I also found multiple studies that demonstrate how the effects of Chitosan are minimal in humans and don’t carry any clinical significance.

Cocoa extract — 100 mg

It is believed that consuming Cocoa extract can reduce body weight, but the scientific evidence for this is incomplete at best.

A 2015 study established a direct correlation between higher cocoa consumption and lower BMI. On the other hand, two studies from 2013 and 2015 demonstrated that chocolate intake can cause weight gain instead of reduction.

Yerba Mate powder — 50 mg

Studies show that Yerba Mate supplementation can accelerate fat reduction and lead to a noticeable decrease in your body fat percentage. A 2017 study also shows how regular Yerba Mate intake can improve your mood and metabolic rate if you pair it with vigorous exercise.

Green tea leaf — 50 mg

Green tea leaf consumption can lower the concentration of LDL (bad) cholesterol in your system without affecting HDL (good) cholesterol. This increases the fat reduction rate of your body while also improving your cardiovascular health. Though these results might not be as prominent in Therm as they are in supplements with higher Green tea concentrations like Capsiplex Burn.

Gymnema Sylvestre leaf powder — 50 mg

According to a 2004 study, regular Gymnema Sylvestre intake can lower your BMI by regulating blood lipid levels. Supplements like Therm also include Gymnema Sylvestre for its ability to reduce sugar cravings by reducing your ability to taste sweet flavors.

While this is effective, it can also leave a very unpleasant taste in your mouth. So, a much better craving suppressant would be 5-HTP found in fat-burning supplements like PhenQ PM. It reduces the need for sugary foods by increasing the secretion of serotonin, instead of affecting your tastebuds.

Vitamin B6 — 25 mg

Studies show a strong connection between Vitamin B6 intake and lower BMI. This is because Vitamin B6 plays a crucial role in the synthesis of over 100 different enzymes that regulate digestion and metabolism.

Cayenne pepper — 10 mg

Cayenne pepper contains Capsaicinoids which are some of the most effective fat-burning substances in Therm. According to a 2007 study, Cayenne pepper supplementation can boost fat oxidation — allowing your body to shed excess fat at a much faster rate. It also increases your energy expenditure so you can spend more time in the gym without getting tired.

Chromium — 100 mcg

Studies show that regular Chromium intake can reduce the cravings for carbohydrate-filled foods that are a major cause of weight gain. Its consumption can also reduce hunger — making it easier for you to follow a dieting routine.

What we didn't find

After a thorough inspection of Swolverine Therm’s composition, I can safely say that it’s a mixed bag of well-known and uncommon ingredients. Some of them like Caffeine have extensive scientific proof of their effectiveness, while others like Chitosan have inconclusive benefits.

Among them, an ingredient that I feel is missing is a growth hormone booster like L-Arginine found in alternatives like PhenQ PM. Regular consumption of L-Arginine increases the secretion of growth hormones. These hormones then boost fat oxidation and enable your body to shed extra weight even when you’re asleep.

An ingredient that is present in this supplement, but I would’ve liked to see more of is Cayenne pepper. The 10 mg of Cayenne pepper in Therm amounts to only 0.025 mg of Capsaicin which is not enough for most of its benefits. An optimal amount would be at least 1-2 mg as we see in other fat-burning supplements like PhenQ and Capsiplex Burn.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Its dose of one tablet daily is easy to follow;
  • Can make you feel more energetic with its Caffeine content;
  • Relatively inexpensive compared to its alternatives;
  • Can prevent weight gain by reducing cravings for sugary foods;

Cons

  • Large number of ingredients makes it difficult to evaluate;
  • Many of its ingredients are irrelevant for fat burners;
  • Can cause issues like nausea and vomiting;
  • Some of its ingredients lack conclusive scientific evidence.

Side Effects

Swolverine does not make any claims about the safety of its Therm fat burner. From what I’ve seen of this supplement, I would not label it as safe.

One of the most problematic substances in Therm is White Willow Bark as it can lead to an upset stomach, nausea, and vomiting. If you have Salicylate sensitivity, consuming these supplements with White Willow Bark can cause even more adverse effects like migraines, irritation, and even asthma.

I recommend reading its full list of ingredients before using Therm to ensure that you’re not allergic to any of its components. If you still encounter any unintended side effects, stop using the supplement immediately and contact your doctor.

I’d also like to point out that three of Swolverine Therm’s ingredients contain Caffeine. So, if you have low Caffeine tolerance, this fat burner might also cause insomnia, muscle jitters, and headaches.

Top Alternatives

If you’re looking for some of the best fat-burning supplements, I suggest checking out PhenQ, PhenQ PM, and Capsiplex Burn. These alternatives offer all the benefits of Therm, but without any of its downsides. These weight loss supplements also offer some unique benefits that make them suitable for different folks. These distinct features include:

PhenQ

Overall Rating: 4.9/5

  • Boosts the natural fat oxidation rate of your system;
  • Prevents dietary fat from getting absorbed during digestion;
  • Reduces the cravings for carb-filled foods.

PhenQ PM

Overall Rating: 4.8/5

  • Helps you get slimmer during sleep;
  • Eliminates nighttime cravings for snacks;
  • Kicks your fat metabolism into high gear.

Capsiplex Burn

Overall Rating: 4.8/5

  • Increases your energy expenditure;
  • Improves your workout performance;
  • Makes it easier to complete the cutting phase.

Final Thoughts

Swolverine Therm would’ve had a more positive impact on me if it had fewer, more weight loss focused ingredients as we see in its alternatives.

As it stands, its formula is a mix of a few ingredients that work well, and many others that do more harm than good. Not to mention the lack of conclusive scientific evidence for some of its components like Chitosan and Cocoa powder.

In short, I do not recommend Swolverine Therm to anyone. Instead, I suggest looking into the aforementioned alternatives to find fat-burning supplements that are worth your time and money.
